Counting Down the Days

We are less than two weeks away from the start of our 2023 season and are excited to get back out on the water.  We are counting down the days and the guides are restocking fly boxes, prepping gear, and making sure all of their equipment is perfectly dialed in before things get rolling.

Missoula isn’t quite warm enough just yet to have us rushing to the rivers, but the bluebird days are becoming more common and temps are gradually warming.  It will only be a few days now before our eagerness takes over and we push off the icy banks and head out for some pre-season fishing.  For now, it’s too soon to assume we’re fully out of winter’s grasp, and a bit more snowfall is certainly likely.

If we continue to gradually warm, March in particular should shake out to have great, stable water conditions.  We consider March to be a bit of a sleeper of a month, and when conditions align it’s perhaps the best chance of the season to put a 22” plus trout in the net.

If you’re interested in joining us this March and April we are offering discounted day trip and hotel packages.  We still have a good amount of flexibility in March and early April, with more limited dates available in late April.  Please give us a call or send us an email for more information.

Full day guided trips are $525 per day in March and April

Our four night hotel package / three day guided fly fishing spring special is $1075 per angler based on double occupancy

2023 Summer Season All-Inclusive Availability

We currently have two available timeframes remaining in July at at the lodge, with more flexibility in August and September.

July dates available:

July 13-16 and July 21-26

Our Premiere All Inclusive Lodge package is designed for our clients to “just show up and enjoy Montana.” Lodge staff will provide shuttles to and from Missoula International Airport (MSO) and check you into Missoula River Lodge. Our Lodge property is a hundred acres riverfront on the Clark Fork river with over a mile of private fishing access.  We follow a true farm to table dining program, so our Executive Chef – Carrie Nowlen –  shops daily to provide fresh and local fare for our guests. Carrie was recognized by the Food Editor of the Washington Post as one of the top 100 Chefs in the United States in 2017 and has recipes featured in “America the Great Cookbook.”  Guides will pick you up at the Lodge daily for fishing on either the Bitterroot, Blackfoot, Rock Creek (for June trips), and Clark Fork Rivers.
