Jacob Hensley – Missoula Montana Fly Fishing Guide

We have always known Jacob did a great job for our guests on the water. Our clients talk about how they love his enthusiasm, river knowledge, and always positive attitude. Jacob has a knack for getting all levels of anglers into fish with an eye for the occasional monster pike.

Jacob’s skill doesn’t stop on the water. He also has won the best bartender in Missoula Award from his other job at the Sunrise Saloon in Missoula, Montana.

Hard Working Fishing Guide with a Beer Too.

Jacob works on the water full time Monday through Friday at Missoula River Lodge. Friday is a longer day. After dropping off guests and putting up his fly fishing gear he heads straight to the Sunrise Saloon to pull the 4 a.m. closing shift. Saturday is a back to back closer at the Sunrise. He finally gets a day to fish a bit on Sunday with his wife, who is an excellent angler in her own rite, and young son Sundays. Monday starts over with a boat hitting the water chasing trout with anglers on the Bitterroot, Blackfoot, Rock Creek, and Clark Fork Rivers. There is no shortage of fish and stories in Jacob’s boat or at his bar.
